Sanders signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys on Thursday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

The Panthers released Sanders on Tuesday after he had a pair of disappointing seasons with the team. He'll now join the Cowboys looking to revitalize his career, and he should have the chance to capture a decent workload as the roster is currently constructed. Javonte Williams is the only other back on the depth chart capable of carrying a traditional workload, though Sanders' fantasy potential won't become clear until after the NFL Draft in late April.

Analysis:

Analysis:

The kickoff returner and wide receiver spent 2024 with the Seahawks and Chargers before being cut from LA's practice squad in early January. Shenault finished the season with 459 kickoff return yards and a touchdown, but he caught just five passes for 36 yards. The Bills will likely have at least Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Josh Palmer ahead of Shenault on the wide receiver depth chart to begin the offseason.

Analysis:

Zaccheaus had a bounceback with Washington last year, forming a nice pairing with rookie QB Jayden Daniels to the tune of 45 catches for 506 yards and three touchdowns on 64 targets over 20 games between the regular season and playoffs. With veteran WR Keenan Allen hitting free agency this week, Zaccheaus will fill the opening left behind alongside DJ Moore and Rome Odunze while getting to work with another signal-caller from the 2024 class in Caleb Williams.

Analysis:

The Raiders released Minshew (collarbone) on Wednesday with a failed physical designation, but just one day later the 28-year-old landed his next assignment, that of backing up star QB Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City. In that context, Minshew will remain off the fantasy radar as long as Mahomes is available, but in the event that Mahomes misses any time in 2025, Minshew provides the Chiefs with an experienced and reliable backup option to turn to.

Analysis:

Skowronek secured all five of his targets for 69 yards across 10 regular-season appearances with Pittsburgh in 2024. That marked the least productive season of Skowronek's career, but he dealt with injuries in the preseason and during the Steeler's regular-season finale. He'll work to remain healthy and carve out a greater role for 2025.

Analysis:

Smartt was the Chargers' top pass-catching TE for a few weeks last season while Will Dissly was injured, but they didn't consider him worthy of a restricted-free-agent tender for $3.26 million. While that isn't the best sign for his NFL future, nor for his odds of gaining fantasy relevance, Smartt at least did well to land with a team that has one of the weakest TE rooms in the league. Incumbent starter Tyler Conklin is an unrestricted free agent, leaving 2022 third-round pick Jeremy Ruckert atop the depth chart, backed only by young, undrafted players. The Jets figure to add more talent at the position if they don't re-sign Conklin, and Smartt's chances to earn a regular role in passing situations likely depends on whether the team gets an experienced starter / early draft pick or settles for another bargain-bin signing / late-round selection. Either way, the path to mainstream fantasy relevance is slim.

Analysis:

Mattison is swapping teams with Raheem Mostert, whose deal with the Raiders was reported about two hours earlier. While Mostert perhaps has a chance to rebound from a disappointing 2024 and earn a key role, Mattison will merely be competing for a backup job behind De'Von Achane. The Dolphins presumably hope 2024 fourth-round pick Jaylen Wright secures the second spot on the depth chart, with Mattison essentially being a backup plan for the backup. It's a tough situation for earning playing time, albeit with the outside chance of a handsome payoff if injuries eventually thrust him into a starting role in Mike McDaniel's offense.
